These pages are for #6. Using patterned paper. My layout was inspired by Robyn's design.

The footsteps is made with paper that is made to look like sand, and I also placed a strip of it in the middle of each page.

NSD-What I'm using

In September of 2003 my family suffered a very sad loss. My grandfather on my father's side of the family died. He wasn't sick, and we had no warning. At the age of 65 he walked into a store and collapsed. My cousin Anna was only 4 years old at the time, and my aunt feels very sad that she will never know my wonderful grandfather. My aunt asked me to make a scrapbook for Anna of pictures of her with my grandfather. I agreed and started, but then the project got put on the back burner. I decided to use NSD as a way to work on it and really get some work done. I hope you enjoy.

Belated NSD

Yesterday was national scrapbook day. Robyn at the pink stamper hosted a whole day of challenges and give aways. I attended my cousin Clay's first communion yesterday and then spent the whole day with my family, so I was unable to participate in her events. Never fail, she prepared for that and is allowing everyone 48 hours to participate. I am going to be posting mine here. So, if you haven't enter, go over and join in. It's not to late!!

Catholic Church Sex Scandals

The Pope visiting has brought about the abuse scandals talk again. I am extremely fed up with this talk about the Catholic Church being corrupt and stories about everyone leaving the church because of it. Firstly, I feel that the church is being attacked because it is so large and everyone knows small things about it. Catholicism is large and this causes the church to be in the public eye a lot. Many people think that because Preists can't get married they have pent up sexual needs and are abusing children. But, what about other religions?

~What about the Christian Camp Counselor who molested eight kids? He is married with kids of his own.

~Why is it no one knows about the Rabbis abusing people?

There are many out there. This site is a collection of articles about molestation by Protestant ministers, and this one follows the Catholic Church scandals.

I feel that the Catholic Church had been attacked by the media, and people who are against Catholicism and people who are not religious at all. Non-marriage and isolation does NOT mean pedophile. Anyone around you could be a child molester and you wouldn't know it. Why is the church being attacked? Why is society so quick to judge?

Busy Times

WOW! I've had quite a busy couple of weeks. spring quarter started at school. That and work always keep me plenty busy of course. My mother and I have completely remodeled our downstairs bathroom. We took the wallpaper down, painted the walls, put in a new mirror and a new light. We got new decorations and towls and are going to do the floor when we replace the kitchen floor.
It has also been very warm here! On Monday, Matt and I rode our bikes to Dairy Queen and got, well what else, ice cream. I walked to class all week, well not Thursday cause it rained (of course). On Wednesday Matt and I washed and dried our cars. Then we filled in scratches,waxed,cleaned out and swept them. I also did the tires and got a new air freshener for mine! We had so much fun. I have been a little depressed latley. Not because of winter, I love winter, but because it has been sunny and nice out but still very cold the last couple of weeks. Also a man who lives a couple houses down from me died. He was so sweet and I used to walk his dog for him when he was out of town. He was a good man and will be missed. I'm so glad that I got to be in this nice weather it has completely rewired me. Even my mom and Matt mentioned how much happier I've been and how much more fun they've had with me. Oh, did I mention on Monday it may snow? lol I'm not kidding!
I went to the Humane Society on Sunday, and I will be going again today after a funeral(did I mention that it is number 7 for me since March?). Then I plan to make cupcakes and take them to Matt and his coworkers. They are having a big 3 day sale and have been working really hard and have been spending all day there.I hope they like them.
